Privacy Policy for Trace It!

Effective date: May 25,2016 App name: Trace It! Package name: com.proApps.tracingapp Developer: greyson Contact: greyson.miller67@gmail.com

This Privacy Policy describes how the “Trace It!” mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you or your child uses it. The App is designed for children and is intended to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the GDPR-K provisions for children, and Google Play’s Families and Designed for Families policies.

We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the App.

  1. Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information ourselves. The App does not include analytics, crash reporting SDKs, user accounts, sign-in, in-app messaging, social features, or any feature that asks the user for personal data.

The App does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, location, or files on your device.

  1. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, a service operated by Google LLC. AdMob is the only third-party service integrated into the App.

Because the App is directed to children, AdMob is configured in child-directed mode with the following settings:

Under this configuration, Google serves non-personalized, contextual ads only. Personalized advertising, behavioral profiling, retargeting, and interest-based advertising are disabled. Google does not associate ad activity in this App with a persistent advertising identifier or with profiles used for behavioral targeting.

In order to deliver and measure ads, Google may process a limited set of technical information, including coarse device information (such as device model and operating system version), non-persistent ad request data, and approximate location derived from IP address. This processing is performed by Google as a service provider to us under their published policies.

For details on how Google handles data in child-directed apps, see:

  1. Children’s Privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K, Play Families)

The App is intended for children. We have designed the App so that it does not knowingly collect any personal information from children, and we have configured all advertising in compliance with COPPA, GDPR-K, and Google Play’s Families policy.

Specifically:

If you are a parent or legal guardian and you have any questions or concerns about how the App handles your child’s data, please contact us at [CONTACT_EMAIL]. We will respond promptly.

  1. Permissions Used by the App

The App requests only the permissions strictly necessary to display ads:

The App explicitly removes the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission that the AdMob SDK would otherwise add by default, so no Android Advertising ID is read or transmitted.

The App does not request any of the following: location, contacts, microphone, camera, storage, phone, calendar, body sensors, SMS, or call logs.

  1. Data We Store on the Device

The App does not save any personal information to the device. No user-generated content, drawings, progress, or settings are persisted between sessions beyond standard Android process state (such as remembering the current letter while the screen rotates).

The App does not back up user data to the cloud and does not synchronize data across devices.

  1. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information with any third party. The only third party with which the App interacts is Google AdMob, and only in the limited, non-personalized, child-directed mode described in Section 2.

We do not transfer any data to advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers, and we do not participate in any cross-app or cross-site tracking.

  1. Data Security

Because the App does not collect personal information, there is no personal information stored or transmitted by us that could be exposed in the event of a security incident. Communication between the AdMob SDK and Google’s ad servers is performed over encrypted HTTPS connections managed by Google.

  1. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you or your child may have rights under applicable privacy laws — for example, under the GDPR (EU/UK), the UK Children’s Code, the CCPA / CPRA (California), or COPPA (United States) — including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to object to certain processing.

Because we do not collect personal information from users of the App, there is generally no personal information in our possession to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold any information about you or your child, or if you wish to exercise a privacy right, please contact us at [CONTACT_EMAIL] and we will respond within a reasonable time.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, in the services we use, or in applicable law. When we make a material change, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this document and, where required, provide additional notice through the App’s Google Play listing.
