Privacy Policy — Tide

This Privacy Policy explains how Proapps ("we", "us") handles your information in the Tide mobile app ("Tide", "the app"). Tide is a free intermittent-fasting companion built to be private by design: there are no accounts and no sign-up, and your fasting data stays on your device.

By using Tide you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

1. Data stored only on your device

The following is saved locally on your device and is not transmitted to us. We operate no servers and have no account system, so we never receive it:

• Fasting history — start/end times, goals, and streaks
• Weight entries
• Water / hydration logs
• Mood selections and notes
• Your name (if you choose to enter one) and app settings

You can remove this data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

2. AI Coach

Tide includes an optional AI coach. When you send a message to the coach, the following is sent securely to Google's Gemini service (via Firebase AI Logic) to generate a reply:

• your message and your recent conversation with the coach;
• limited context about your current fast — your fasting phase, elapsed hours, goal, and chosen protocol; and
• your first name, only if you entered one during setup.

This happens only when the AI coach is enabled and you send a message. If you prefer not to send anything to Google, simply don't use the AI coach.

3. Advertising

Tide displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and use your device's advertising identifier and related information (such as ad interactions and diagnostics). Tide does not request your location.

• Manage or reset ad personalization: Google Ads Settings, or Android Settings → Privacy → Ads

4. Notifications

If you enable reminders, Tide schedules notifications (for example, "fast goal reached" or "eating window opening") locally on your device. No data is sent to us to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your device settings.

5. Children

Tide is intended for adults and is not directed at children. Intermittent fasting is generally not appropriate for minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). The app asks about age during setup and does not provide a fasting plan to users under 18.

6. Data security and retention

Data sent to Google (for the AI coach and for ads) is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data processed by Google is retained and deleted according to Google's policies.

7. Your choices

• Skip the AI coach if you prefer not to send messages to Google.
• Reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
• Manage or disable reminders in the app or in system settings.
• Clear all local data by clearing app storage or uninstalling.

Tide is provided for general wellness and educational purposes and is not medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any fasting regimen — especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, managing a medical condition, taking medication, or have a history of disordered eating.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, within the app.
