SpinPick — Privacy Policy

Effective 25 August 2026

SpinPick is made by greybits. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. The short version: SpinPick is free and paid for by ads, with one optional purchase that removes them. We collect nothing about you ourselves — your wheels and results never leave your device — but the ads are served by Google, and Google does collect data to show them.

What we collect

Nothing. SpinPick has no account, no sign-in and no server of our own. We do not collect, receive, sell or share any personal information about you, and we run no analytics or crash reporting.

We never see your wheels, your results or anything else you do in the app.

What stays on your device

The app saves your wheels and their options, your result history, your dice and picker settings, and your preferences (haptics, sound, appearance, history on or off).

All of it is written to your device’s own storage. It never leaves the device, and we have no way to read it.

Advertising

SpinPick is free and supported by ads. The ads are served by Google AdMob, using the Google Mobile Ads SDK, which is the only third-party component in the app.

To select, deliver and measure ads, Google may collect and process: your device’s advertising identifier, your IP address (which gives an approximate location — Google does not receive precise GPS location from this app), device and operating-system information, and how you interact with an ad.

That data is handled by Google as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, not ours. You can read what Google collects and why at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses data from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We do not send Google anything about you. We do not build advertising profiles, and no ad network other than Google receives data from this app.

Your choices about ads

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, SpinPick shows you a consent form the first time you open it, using a Google-certified consent platform. You choose there whether Google may use your data to personalise ads. Declining does not restrict the app — you still get every feature, just non-personalised ads.

You can change that choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices.

Wherever you live, your device has its own control. On Android, Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you delete your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation. On iOS, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking controls whether apps may request to track you, and turning it off means SpinPick’s ads are non-personalised.

Purchases

SpinPick is free to use. There is one optional in-app purchase, Remove ads — a single payment that switches off every ad in the app for good.

The payment is handled entirely by the app store you installed SpinPick from. We never see your card details, your billing address or your name. The store tells the app only whether the purchase is active, and the app saves that one yes-or-no answer to your device’s own storage.

The store processes the payment under its own privacy policy and terms, and it is the store — not us — that holds the record of what you bought. If you reinstall SpinPick or set up a new device, Remove ads → Restore purchase asks the store to confirm your entitlement again.

Buying Remove ads stops the ads, and with them the data collection described above. It does not change anything else in this policy, because everything else already stays on your device.

Permissions

SpinPick asks for no runtime permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or files.

It does use internet access — but only to fetch ads and to confirm a purchase with the store. No other network request is made.

Sound effects play through the standard media output and vibration uses the device’s haptic engine. Neither records anything.

Third parties

Google AdMob is the only third party involved, and only for advertising as described above. There are no analytics SDKs, no social logins, no mediation partners and no data brokers.

The store you installed the app from may collect its own download, purchase and crash statistics under its own privacy policy. That is between you and that store; we receive no personal data from it.

Children

SpinPick is a general-audience app. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included — nothing you do in the app reaches us.

Because the app shows ads served by Google, a parent who would rather a child not see personalised advertising can use the device controls described above, or decline personalisation in the consent form where it is offered.

If you are a parent or guardian with a concern, email us at the address below.

Deleting your data

Settings → Clear all history removes your saved results immediately.

Uninstalling the app removes everything else it has saved, including your wheels, your preferences and the record that Remove ads is active. Because we hold nothing anywhere else, there is nothing left for us to delete.

To reset what Google has associated with your device, delete or reset your advertising ID in your device’s settings. A record of any purchase stays with the app store, and is removed under that store’s own policy, not ours.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts doing something this policy does not cover, we will update this page and the effective date above before that version is released.
