Snackster is built for kids. The recipes and cooking work fully offline, there are no accounts, and the app collects no personal information. Everything your child does stays on the device. A few optional extras — ads and purchases — live only in the grown-ups area, behind a parent gate; they are described below.
None. Snackster never asks for a name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or photos, and there is no account to sign into. We (the developer) run no analytics, no crash reporting, and no tracking, and we operate no servers of our own — so nothing about you or your child is measured or profiled by us.
The app remembers your earned stickers, favorite recipes, settings (sound, read-aloud, reduce-motion), and whether the extra recipes have been unlocked — by storing them locally on the device. None of it is uploaded anywhere. To wipe it, tap “Reset Progress” in Settings or uninstall the app.
There is no sign-in, no messaging, and no way for children to post or share anything. The app will not open a web browser for a child. The few grown-up links — rating the app, browsing more apps, this policy, and any purchase — sit in the grown-ups area behind a parent gate.
Snackster is designed for families and follows Google Play’s Families policy and the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The parent gate keeps store links, ads, and purchases behind a grown-up check, and because the app itself gathers no data, a child’s information is never put at risk.
Snackster is free to download and play — the starter recipes, the cooking steps, the timers, and the stickers all cost nothing. Two optional extras live in the grown-ups area, behind the parent gate: an optional Tip Jar (a small thank-you that unlocks nothing) and a one-time “Unlock More Recipes” purchase that adds extra recipes. Neither is ever required. Any payment is handled entirely by Google Play; we never see or store your card details.
Snackster shows a few ads — but only in the grown-ups area (behind the parent gate), never on the screens your child plays and cooks with. Any ads are served by Google AdMob and are family-safe and non-personalized: chosen from what is on the page, never by tracking or profiling your child, with the ad content rating limited to “G”, the app tagged as child-directed, and no advertising identifier used (the AD_ID permission is removed from the app).
Snackster runs without any servers of our own. Two Google services are used, both in the grown-ups area: Google Play processes purchases, and Google AdMob serves the family-safe, non-personalized ads. Each operates under Google’s own privacy policy.
Because the app keeps your data on the device and sends none of it to us, there is no account to breach and nothing of yours stored on our side. The optional purchase and ad services above are handled by Google under its security and privacy practices.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the version in the app. Any meaningful change will appear here first.
