Oasling — Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
This policy covers Oasling, a game by greybits, on every store it is offered on.
The short version
Oasling has no accounts and no sign-in, and your game is kept on your device. Oasling itself does not collect, store or send any personal information. It shows ads served by Google AdMob and sells optional items through the store you installed it from; those services process some data to do their job, as described below.
What stays on your device
Your progress (oases, stars, salt, the journal, puzzles), your settings, the looks you chose, the count of ads watched toward a look, the speed-ups and salt you bought, and a note of the one-time purchases this device knows about. All of it is in the game's own private storage. It is never sent to us, and it is removed when you uninstall Oasling or clear its data.
Ads
Oasling is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: a small banner on menu screens (and, where there is room, a small one in the oasis and on the puzzle board, which you can close), an occasional full-screen ad between games, and ads you choose to watch for a reward. To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google's ad software may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address (from which an approximate location is worked out), basic device and app details such as model, system version, language and app version, and how you interact with the ads. Google may use this to show personalised ads where you allow it. This data goes to Google, not to us.
Your ad choices
Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Oasling asks for your choice before any ad is requested; until you answer, the ad software is not started. You can change your answer at any time under Settings, Ad privacy choices (the row appears wherever a choice applies). Your device has its own controls too: on Android, Settings, Google, Ads, where you can reset or delete the advertising ID; on iPhone and iPad, Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking. Remove ads, in the shop, turns off the banners and the full-screen ads; ads you choose to watch for a reward remain available. Google explains how it uses data from apps that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and its privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Purchases
Speed-ups, salt, Remove ads and All looks are optional and are sold through the store you installed Oasling from: Google Play on Android, the App Store on iPhone and iPad. The store takes the payment. Oasling never sees your name, your card or your account details; it learns from the store only whether a purchase went through and which one-time items your store account owns. Speed-ups and salt are kept on this device and cannot be restored after an uninstall. Remove ads and All looks follow your store account and come back with Restore purchases.
What Oasling does not do
No accounts. No analytics or crash-reporting service of our own. No access to your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or precise location. We do not sell personal information, and we hold none to sell.
Permissions
On Android these appear as declared permissions, and none of them shows a prompt: internet access and network state (ads and the store), the advertising ID and Android's Privacy Sandbox ad permissions (ads), billing (purchases), and three used by the ad software for background work (wake lock, foreground service, basic phone state). On iPhone and iPad apps do not declare permissions this way.
Children
Oasling is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, or under the age your country sets. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given personal information through Oasling, write to us and we will help.
Keeping and deleting
What is on your device stays there until you uninstall Oasling or clear its data. We hold nothing about you ourselves, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete. For the data Google holds about ads, use the controls above or Google's My Ad Centre at myadcenter.google.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete personal data, to object to its use, or to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising. Because Oasling holds no personal data, requests about ad data go to Google; the choices above let you withdraw consent or opt out of personalised ads at any time. You are welcome to write to us with any question.
Changes
If Oasling changes in a way that affects your privacy, this policy and its date will change with it. The copy inside the game is updated with each new version.
