Privacy Policy — Momentum

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Momentum keeps your workout data on your own device. There is no account, no sign-in, and nothing about your training is uploaded to us.

This policy covers the Momentum mobile app (com.proapps.momentum), published by greybits.

What Momentum stores on your device

All of this is written to your phone's local app storage and never leaves it except when you choose to share or export it:

Uninstalling the app, or using Settings → Reset all data, removes it permanently. We cannot recover it for you, because we never had a copy.

What we do not collect

Momentum has no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, so we receive no usage reports of any kind.

Advertising

Momentum is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. To show them, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect your device's advertising identifier and technical information such as device model, operating system version, coarse region and how you interacted with an ad. That data is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, not by us — we never see it, and we never send Google anything about your workouts.

The ads you see may be personalised. Google can use your device's advertising identifier, together with information it already holds from other apps and sites, to pick ads it thinks are relevant to you. That profile belongs to Google, not to us — we have no access to it and we never add anything to it.

You see a small banner at the end of a screen's content, a small banner you can close at the top of the coach during a workout, and one full-screen ad after you finish a workout. Nothing ever interrupts an exercise while it is running, and there are no ads at all while you are setting Momentum up for the first time.

You can turn ad personalisation off at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID, or Opt out of ads personalisation; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). You will still see ads, they just stop being based on a profile. Momentum keeps working exactly the same either way.

Where the law requires your consent for ads (the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), Momentum shows Google's consent form the first time you open it, before any ad is requested. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.

Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, Momentum schedules them locally on your device. Nothing is sent through a server, and we cannot see whether you opened one. Turning reminders off in the app, or revoking the notification permission in your device settings, stops them.

Permissions

Momentum requests only what its features need:

Momentum does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage or activity-recognition permissions.

Children

Momentum is a general-audience fitness app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Health disclaimer

Momentum provides general fitness content, not medical advice. Exercise carries risk. Consult a qualified professional before starting a new exercise programme, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or managing a health condition, and stop if a movement causes pain.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated text ships inside the app and the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use Momentum after an update means you accept the revised policy.
