Privacy Policy for LingoTots

This Privacy Policy explains how the LingoTots mobile app ("LingoTots", "the app", "we", "us") handles information. LingoTots is a language-learning app designed for young children. We take children's privacy seriously and have built the app to collect as little information as possible.

Summary

• LingoTots does not require an account and does not ask for any personal information such as a name, email address, phone number, or photos.
• All of your child's progress and settings are stored only on the device. We do not upload them anywhere.
• The app works fully offline; it only uses the internet to load ads (and, if a grown-up chooses to leave a tip, to complete that purchase through Google Play).
• LingoTots shows family-friendly, non-personalized ads through Google AdMob. To serve these ads, AdMob may collect certain device information (such as a device identifier). See "Advertising" below.
• In the European Economic Area and the UK, a consent form appears before any ad is requested, and the choice can be changed at any time from Settings.
• LingoTots is free; a grown-up can leave an optional tip (which unlocks nothing), handled by Google Play — we never see or store your payment details.
• We do not sell your data and we do not collect personal information from children.

Information We Do Not Collect

LingoTots does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact details
• Precise location
• Photos, camera, microphone, or contacts
• Any account or login information (there are no accounts)

Information Stored on the Device

To remember where your child left off, LingoTots saves a small amount of data locally on the device only, including:

• The chosen learning language
• Game progress and stars earned
• Sound and animation preferences

This information never leaves the device and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Advertising

LingoTots is free and is supported by ads provided by Google AdMob, a Google service.

Because LingoTots is directed to children, we have configured AdMob to comply with child-privacy requirements:

• Ad content is limited to a "G" (family-friendly) rating.
• Requests are tagged as child-directed.
• Only non-personalized ads are requested. This means ads are not based on a user's interests or profile.

To deliver ads (including limited functions such as frequency capping and preventing fraud), AdMob may process certain device information, such as a device identifier and general (non-precise) information about the device. AdMob’s handling of this information is governed by Google’s policies, available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and policies.google.com/privacy.

Your Consent Choices (EEA and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, LingoTots shows a consent form, provided through Google’s User Messaging Platform, before any ad is requested. Ads are not loaded until you have made a choice.

Ads in LingoTots are non-personalized regardless of your answer, because the app is directed to children. Your choice governs whether the app may store and access information on your device in order to show ads at all.

You can change your choice at any time: open Settings (behind the grown-up gate) and tap "Ad privacy choices". That row appears only where these consent rules apply.

If you decline, ads are not shown. Every learning feature in LingoTots remains fully available — nothing in the app is gated behind ads or purchases.

In-app purchases (optional tips)

LingoTots is free and every feature is available to everyone. Inside the grown-up area (reached through a parent gate), there is an optional tip jar — a small, voluntary tip to support the app that unlocks nothing. Any purchase is handled entirely by Google Play; we never see or store your payment details (such as card numbers or billing address), and we do not collect any financial or payment information. Google’s handling of your payment is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Children's Privacy

LingoTots is intended for children and families. We designed the app to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Google Play Families Policy, and applicable data-protection laws such as the GDPR (including provisions for children). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are non-personalized and family-rated as described above.

Data Security

Because LingoTots does not collect personal information and stores its data only on the device, there is no personal account data for us to secure on servers. Ad requests to Google are transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

Your Choices

• You can remove all locally stored data at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
• You can reset your device’s advertising identifier in your device settings.
• In the EEA and UK, you can change your ad consent choice from Settings at any time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
