This Privacy Policy explains how the Grocery Buddy mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. By using the App you agree to this policy.
Grocery Buddy is designed to be private by default. Your grocery lists never leave your device. The only information that leaves your phone is the data Google's advertising service needs to show ads.
The App lets you create grocery lists, save staple items, set aisle preferences, and choose display settings. All of this information is stored only on your device using local storage. It is never uploaded to us or to any server, it is never tied to an account, and we cannot see it. There is no sign-in and no user account.
If you uninstall the App, or use Settings → Reset all data, this information is permanently deleted from your device.
Grocery Buddy is free and is supported by ads served through Google AdMob, a Google service. To show and measure ads, Google's advertising technology may collect and process:
This data is collected by Google, not by us, and is used to serve and measure advertising. We do not receive your grocery lists, your identity, or your precise location.
For details on how Google uses this data, see Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We do not use any analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking services beyond Google AdMob.
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, precise location, or files.
Depending on your region and settings, ads may be personalized. You can control ad personalization and reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings:
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland may be shown a consent prompt for personalized advertising, as required by law.
Grocery Buddy is a general-audience utility app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.
To ask a question or make a request about your data, email us at the address below.
Your lists and settings stay on your device. Any ad requests made by Google's SDK are transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, within the App or store listing.
