Privacy Policy for Glimmer
Last updated: July 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Glimmer mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information. By using the App you agree to this policy.
Glimmer is private by default. Your game progress stays on your device. The only information that leaves your phone is the data Google’s advertising service needs to show ads.
1. Information stored only on your device
The App saves your level progress, daily-streak history, unlocked cosmetics, purchase status, and your settings. All of this information is stored only on your device using local storage. It is never uploaded to us or to any server, it is never tied to an account, and we cannot see it. There is no sign-in and no user account.
If you uninstall the App, this information is permanently deleted from your device.
2. Information collected automatically (advertising)
Glimmer is free and is supported by ads served through Google AdMob, a Google service. To show and measure ads, Google’s advertising technology may collect and process:
- Device and advertising identifiers (such as your Android Advertising ID)
- Approximate (non-precise) location, which may be derived from your IP address
- App interaction data relating to the ads shown to you
- General device information (device type, operating system, and similar technical data)
This data is collected by Google, not by us, and is used to serve and measure advertising. We do not receive your game progress, your identity, or your precise location.
For details on how Google uses this data, see Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We do not use any analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking services beyond Google AdMob.
3. In-app purchases
Glimmer offers optional one-time purchases (remove ads and/or unlock all cosmetics). Purchases are processed by Google Play; we do not receive or store your payment details. The App only records, on your device, whether a purchase was made, so it can unlock the corresponding content. Every cosmetic can also be earned free by playing — the purchases are an optional convenience.
4. Permissions the App uses
- Internet — required only to request ads.
- Vibration — used for optional haptic feedback in the interface.
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, precise location, or files.
5. Ad personalization and your choices
Depending on your region and settings, ads may be personalized. You can control ad personalization and reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads (reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads).
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland may be shown a consent prompt for personalized advertising, as required by law.
6. Children’s privacy
Glimmer is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.
7. Data retention and deletion
- On-device data (progress, cosmetics, purchases, settings) remains until you uninstall the App.
- Advertising data is retained by Google according to Google’s own policies. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.
8. Data security
Your progress and settings stay on your device. Any ad requests made by Google’s SDK are transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, within the App or store listing.
