Privacy Policy — Calorie Counter

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Calorie Counter (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. Calorie Counter is a local-first calorie and macro tracker: there is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud backend. Everything you log stays on your device. The only third party that processes data is the advertising provider described below.

1. Summary

2. Information stored on your device (not collected by us)

When you use Calorie Counter, the following is created and saved locally on your device only, using your device’s standard app storage:

We have no access to this information. It is not uploaded, synced, or shared with us or anyone else. If you uninstall the App, or use Settings → Clear Today’s Log or delete custom foods, the corresponding data is removed from your device.

The Export Today’s Log (CSV) feature uses your device’s own share sheet — you choose where the file goes (email, files, etc.). The exported file is created on your device and is never sent to us.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows banner and interstitial ads using Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC). To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process information such as:

The App is configured to request non-personalized ads, but Google may still collect the data above to deliver and measure non-personalized advertising, prevent fraud, and for security, as described in its policies. Ad data is processed by Google as an independent controller — not by us.

Learn more and manage your choices:

You can reset or limit ad tracking at any time in your device settings (for example, Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset/Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization).

4. Permissions

The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise GPS location, or photos.

5. Children’s privacy

Calorie Counter is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are requested as non-personalized. If you believe a child has provided information through the ad provider, contact us and we will assist as appropriate.

6. Data retention and deletion

We do not hold any of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on a server. For questions about a data request, email greysonmiller67@gmail.com.

7. Security

Your data is stored using your device’s standard application storage and is protected by your device’s own security (such as your screen lock and OS sandboxing). Because we do not transmit or store your personal data ourselves, there is no server-side database of your information that could be exposed.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected in an App update. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
