Privacy Policy — AI Prompt Generator
This policy explains what the app collects, what it sends, and what it never touches. It is written in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to the address above.
1. What the app does
AI Prompt Generator turns a short idea into a longer, ready-to-use AI prompt. It runs on your phone, uses a third-party AI service to write the prompt, and shows ads from Google AdMob so it can stay free. There is no account system, no sign-up and no user profile.
2. What stays on your device
Stored in private app storage that only this app can read:
- Your prompts and the generated results
- Favorites and collections
- Your display name, creativity setting and theme choice
None of it is transmitted anywhere on its own. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in Android Settings, deletes all of it permanently. This data is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so it does not leave the phone that way either.
3. What is sent when you generate a prompt
When you tap Generate, Regenerate or an AI Enhancement, the app sends the idea text you typed, the category you selected, and the generation settings (creativity, length) to our proxy server hosted on Cloudflare Workers, which forwards the request to Groq Inc. for language-model processing. The result comes back to your device and is saved locally.
- The proxy does not log or store request bodies.
- Nothing identifying you or your device is attached — no account, no user ID, no advertising ID.
- Groq processes the text under its own privacy policy: groq.com/privacy-policy
- The AI provider key is held server-side. It is not shipped inside the app and is never stored on your device.
Do not type personal or confidential information into the idea box. Treat it like any other text you send to an online AI service.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app displays ads supplied by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested or shown, Google's SDK may collect:
- your device's Advertising ID (a resettable identifier you control in Android settings)
- IP address, used for approximate location, fraud prevention and frequency capping
- coarse location derived from IP — the app requests no location permission and has no access to GPS
- device information (model, OS version, language, screen size)
- ad interaction data (ads shown, taps, time spent)
- diagnostic data from the ad SDK
We do not receive your Advertising ID or IP address ourselves; Google processes this data to serve the ads. See AdMob & AdSense and the Google Privacy Policy.
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
5. Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we use Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent before personalised ads load. Your choice is stored by that SDK. You can change it at any time from Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices inside the app.
6. Voice input
The microphone button hands off to the speech-recognition app already installed on your phone, usually a Google service. AI Prompt Generator does not request the microphone permission and never records, stores or transmits audio. Only the transcribed text comes back, and it is treated like anything else you type.
7. Reporting AI-generated output
Every result has a Report this output link. Tapping it opens your email app with the idea you entered and the result it produced already quoted, addressed to greysonmiller67@gmail.com, so the output can be reviewed. Nothing is transmitted until you send the email yourself, and we receive only what you choose to send.
8. What we never collect
- Your name, phone number or contacts
- Precise (GPS) location
- Photos, files, calendar or call logs
- Account credentials of any kind — the app has no login
- Payment information — the app is free and sells nothing in-app
- Health, biometric or financial data
- Browsing history outside the app
We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
9. Permissions the app requests
The app requests no runtime permissions — you will never see a permission prompt. The technical permissions in the app package are:
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
INTERNET | Send the prompt request and load ads |
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Let the ad SDK check connectivity before requesting an ad |
AD_ID | Google's advertising identifier, used for ad serving |
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_* (3) | Google Privacy Sandbox ad APIs on Android 13+ |
10. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA) and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help delete anything associated with it.
11. Your rights
Everyone
- Delete all local data by uninstalling, or via Android Settings → Apps → AI Prompt Generator → Storage → Clear data
- Reset your Advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads
- Opt out of personalised ads through the same Android settings, or your consent choice (§5)
EEA / UK / Switzerland (GDPR, UK GDPR)
- Rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability
- Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing
- Right to complain to your local data protection authority
California (CCPA / CPRA)
- Right to know what is collected and how it is used
- Right to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we do not sell personal information; AdMob's data sharing for personalised ads is governed by your consent and Android ad settings
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights
To exercise any of these, write to greysonmiller67@gmail.com. We respond within the period required by applicable law, typically 30–45 days.
12. Third parties
- Groq Inc. — receives your prompt text to generate the result
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts the proxy that forwards prompt text to Groq
- Google LLC — AdMob (advertising), User Messaging Platform (consent), Google Play services
We share data with no one else.
13. Retention
- On your device: kept until you delete it in the app, clear app storage, or uninstall
- Prompt text sent for processing: governed by Groq's terms; our proxy retains nothing
- Ad and consent data: retained by Google under its own policies
14. Security
All network requests use HTTPS/TLS. Local data sits in app-private storage readable only by this app. We operate no user-facing servers and hold no account database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but there is very little here to expose.
15. International transfers
Prompt text is processed by Groq in the United States and routed via Cloudflare's global network. AdMob processes data on Google's worldwide infrastructure. For users in the EEA and UK, these transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions maintained by the receiving parties.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change with it, and material changes will be noted in the app's Play Store release notes.
