Privacy Policy for PromptCraft AI

This Privacy Policy describes how PromptCraft AI (“we”, “us”, “the app”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Android application PromptCraft AI (package name com.proapps.promptcraft.ai), distributed on the Google Play Store.

We have written this policy in plain language. If anything is unclear, contact us at the address at the bottom.

1. What the app does

PromptCraft AI helps you turn short ideas into longer, ready-to-use AI prompts. It runs locally on your phone and uses a third-party AI provider (Groq) to generate prompt text. It shows advertising provided by Google AdMob to support free use of the app.

1. Data we collect

The categories below describe everything we or our service providers may collect when you use the app.

3.1 Data you create

• Your prompts and generated outputs. These are stored locally on your device in a private database. They never leave your device except when you tap Generate or Enhance, in which case the input text and your selected category are sent to our backend (see §3.2) for AI processing.
• App preferences (username, creativity slider, theme). Stored locally. Never transmitted.

3.2 Data sent for AI processing

When you tap Generate, Enhance, or Random Idea, the app sends the prompt text and generation parameters to our backend proxy (hosted on Cloudflare Workers), which forwards the request to Groq Inc. (https://groq.com) for language-model processing. The response is returned to your device and stored locally.

• Our proxy does not log or store the request bodies. It only forwards them to Groq.
• Groq processes the request under their own privacy policy: https://groq.com/privacy-policy/
• We do not associate prompts with any identifier of you or your device.

3.3 Advertising data (Google AdMob)

The app displays ads provided by Google AdMob. When ads are loaded or shown, Google’s SDK may collect:

• Your device’s Advertising ID (AAID — a resettable identifier you control in Android settings)
• IP address (used for approximate location, fraud prevention, and frequency capping)
• Coarse location derived from IP (no GPS)
• Device information (model, OS version, language, screen size)
• Ad interaction data (which ads you saw, taps, time spent)
• Diagnostic / crash data from the ad SDK itself

This data is processed by Google in accordance with their policies:

We do not receive your Advertising ID or IP address directly — Google handles this data on our behalf for the purpose of serving ads.

3.4 Consent data (GDPR / EEA / UK users)

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before personalized ads load. Your consent choice is stored locally by the UMP SDK and on Google’s servers. You can change your choice at any time from the in-app Settings → Privacy menu, or by clearing the app’s data.

3.5 Voice input

If you use the microphone icon to dictate an idea, the app launches Android’s built-in SpeechRecognizer. The audio is processed by the speech-recognition service installed on your device (typically a Google service). The app itself does not transmit, record, or store audio. The resulting transcribed text is treated like any other prompt text (§3.1).

3.6 Feedback emails

If you tap Feedback in Settings, the app opens your installed email client with a pre-addressed message to feedback@promptcraft.ai. We only receive what you choose to send.

1. What we do not collect

We do not collect or process:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or contacts (unless you write to us)
• Your precise (GPS) location
• Your photos, files, calendar, or call logs
• Account credentials of any kind (the app has no login)
• Payment information (the app is free; we do not sell anything in-app)
• Health, biometric, or financial data
• Web browsing history outside the app

We do not sell or rent any personal data to anyone.

1. Third parties we share data with

• Groq Inc. — receives your prompt text to generate the response. Subject to Groq’s privacy policy.
• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts the network proxy that forwards prompt text to Groq. Subject to Cloudflare’s privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
• Google LLC — provides AdMob (advertising), UMP (consent management), and Google Play services. Subject to Google’s privacy policy.

We do not share data with anyone else.

1. Data retention

• Prompts and preferences on your device: kept until you delete them from within the app, uninstall the app, or clear app storage in Android settings.
• Prompt text sent to Groq: Groq’s retention is governed by their terms; our proxy does not retain anything.
• AdMob and UMP data: retained by Google per their policies.

1. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the following rights:

Everyone:

• Delete your local data at any time: uninstall the app or go to Android Settings → Apps → PromptCraft AI → Storage → Clear data.
• Reset your Advertising ID at any time: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
• Opt out of personalized ads: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID, or change your UMP consent choice (§3.4).

EEA, UK, Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR):

• Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability.
• Right to withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect prior lawful processing).
• Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA):

• Right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used.
• Right to delete personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
• Right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Google AdMob’s data sharing for personalized ads is governed by your UMP / Limit Ad Tracking settings.
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us at feedback@promptcraft.ai. We will respond within the period required by applicable law (typically 30-45 days).

1. Children’s privacy

PromptCraft AI is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help delete any associated data.

1. Security

• All network requests use HTTPS / TLS.
• Local data is stored in app-private storage, accessible only to PromptCraft AI on your device.
• We do not run any user-facing servers and do not maintain any account database.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We do our best, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

1. International transfers

Your prompt text is processed by Groq (United States) and routed via Cloudflare’s global network. AdMob processes data on Google’s worldwide infrastructure. If you are in the EEA / UK, these transfers rely on the relevant standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions maintained by the receiving parties.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be announced in-app or in the Play Store listing release notes.
